First international internet exhibition Internet Avenue 2013 took place on April 26-27 in Almaty. The program of the event included presentations and panel discussions with industry experts, Kazakh, and foreign internet companies.

Discussions topics covered such subjects as Kazakh Internet’s future perspectives, the futures of local Internet-retail, Internet projects’ monetization and electronic payment challenges.

Our team attended the conference with the purpose of understanding current industry trends and moods, and to hold informal meetings with market experts.

Our CEO Murat Kastayev won in the solving case study from the Nota Bene School of Management, on its website www.profinance.kz in the competition "The strength of collective intelligence." Case titled "Lost in transition: it's time to make a halt" was about the complexities of integration of the acquired company after the acquisition deal. The experience of our CEO in mergers and acquisitions and, in particular, in the reorganization and integration of companies and their corporate cultures after these transactions was used in the decision of the case.

As a prize, the spokesperson of the Nota Bene School of Management Mr. Arnur Mamytbekov presents books of contemporary business literature.

Our representatives participated in III International Investment forum «Astana Invest 2012» that held in the framework of the V Astana Economic Forum.

Being there allowed our firm to explore the investment potential of the region during presentations of investment projects in Astana.

Also, we had the opportunity to meet representatives of state authorities, international corporations,and financial institutions, international and domestic business communities. It was a great time to hold work meeting and get together and make new connections.

The First International Conference of startups and investors Investor Day 2012 took place on 4 April in Almaty. The program of the event included presentations from venture business representatives, investors, business angels, industry experts and startup founders.

Our team attended the conference as visitors and held informal meetings with market experts. The purpose of participation was to feel the mood and current industry trends, assess the readiness of venture businesses to invest in startup projects in Kazakhstan.
